Privacy notice
This notice explains what we do with the details you give us, in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). It’s short because we collect very little.

What we collect
- From the enquiry form: your name, mobile number, email address, rental dates, the number of people, whether you want the cart delivered or will collect it, the delivery location if you give one, anything you write in the message box, your confirmation that your drivers hold a valid licence, and your consent tick. Netlify, which receives the form, also records the IP address and browser details sent with each enquiry.
- On WhatsApp, phone or email: what you choose to tell us, such as your dates, where you’re staying and any questions.
- For the rental itself: the details on the rental agreement you sign, and a record of your payment.
We don’t ask for your ID number or card details.
Why we use it
Only to reply to your enquiry, check availability, arrange delivery or collection, take payment, and deal with anything that comes up during or after your rental, such as damage or a late return.
We don’t use your details for marketing, and we never sell them.
Our legal basis
We process your information because you’ve asked us to arrange a rental and we need it to do that, and because you gave your consent when you ticked the box on the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time. If you do, we won’t be able to arrange a rental for you.
Who else sees it
A few service providers handle your information for us, only so the website and email work:
- Netlify, which hosts the website and receives the enquiry form;
- Zoho Mail, our email provider;
- Resend, which sends the automatic confirmation email;
- Cloudflare, if we turn on visit counting, which counts visits without cookies;
- WhatsApp, if you message us there; and
- Agulhas Code, who built and look after this website, and can see enquiries sent through the form.
Some of these providers store information on servers outside South Africa. We don’t share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for 12 months after your rental, or after your enquiry if you didn’t rent, and then delete them. If there’s a damage claim or dispute, we keep what we need until it’s settled.
How we protect it
We keep your details in password-protected accounts, limit who can see them to the people listed above, and don’t print or share them more than we need to.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- correct anything that’s wrong;
- delete your information; or
- stop using it, if you object to how we use it.

This website doesn’t use cookies. If we count visits, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies or build a profile of you.
